Join via Laptop, Tablet, or Computer: Go to https://zoom.us/ and click the “Join A Meeting” button near the top of the page. Enter the Meeting ID and Password (if applicable) to connect.
Join via Mobile App: Download the Zoom App from the IOS App Store or from Google Play. Enter the Meeting ID and Password (if applicable) to connect.
Join via Phone (No Video): Dial +1 669 900 9128 US (San Jose) OR +1 646 558 8656 US (New York). When prompted, enter the meeting ID followed by the # sign.
Preserving Anonymity in Online Meetings
Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions. Northland Group is following best practices regarding anonymity in online meetings. All Northland online meetings are being held in Northland Zoom rooms - not in private accounts. This allows us to disable many videoconferencing features that are not in line with our spiritual principles. Some examples of the best practices that we are following include:
Password protection to enter meeting rooms
Disabled auto saving chats
Disabled file transfer
Disabled feedback to Zoom
Disabled screen sharing
Disabled desktop/screen share for users
Disabled remote control
Disabled local recording
Disabled cloud recording
Disabled automatic recording
Allowing virtual background (instead of the inside of someone’s home)
